Chaps are a necessary evil, but storing them does not have to be a problem.
Traveling on a motorcycle makes you really think about what you take with you. There just isn’t that much room, so you have to make the most of it with the stuff you actually need. My wife and I have really learned to travel with less over the years. We take fewer changes of clothing knowing we might just have to do a little wash along the way. This leaves us room for the really important things like our cameras and of course safety gear like chaps.
They are a great piece of safety equipment. They keep you warm when it gets cold while protecting you from the rain and rocks. The problem is if the temperature rises they are the first things you tend to shed. So, what do you do with these monstrous pieces of leather? Chaps tend to take up a lot of room, so you have to take the time to fold them right. Here is a video I found that demonstrated just that. Take a look and then tell us in the comments section below how it helped you on your latest trip.
